What Happens in Your First Nervous System Coaching Session

September 29, 2026

If you’re wondering what it actually takes to book and start nervous system coaching, here’s the process: you book a consult through this link, and your first session opens with a live check-in of where your nervous system actually is that day, not a generic intake process. Fifteen minutes in, you already have a tool you can use.

If the mystery of what actually happens has been the thing holding you back from booking, this is for you:

What Happens Before Your First Session

There’s a short intake beforehand, a few orienting questions about your patterns and what you’re hoping will shift. No clinical assessment, no lengthy paperwork. You come to the session as you are that day, not as you think you should be.

The First 15 Minutes: A Live Check-In

We read your current nervous system state together, out loud. This isn’t just data-gathering. It’s the first rep of nervous system literacy itself: you learning to notice what’s happening in your body, in real time, instead of reflecting on it days later.

Regulation Tools Matched to Your State

From there, we bring in one or two regulation tools matched to what actually showed up in that check-in. Not a one-size-fits-all script everyone gets regardless of their state. You practice it live, in the session, so it’s not only theoretical by the time you leave.

What You Leave With

You walk out with one small, specific next step, not a stack of homework. This is very deliberate! Session one isn’t about handing you every tool I have. It’s about showing you that, in under an hour, you can shift your own state in real time.

What This Isn’t

This isn’t therapy, and it isn’t diagnostic. There’s no couch, no six-session wait to feel something shift. It’s direct, practical, and collaborative, and it’s a complement to therapy for clients who are also in talk therapy, not a replacement for it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to prepare anything before my first session?

No. Just show up as you are that day, that’s actually the point.

How long is a first session?

45-60 minutes

Will I leave with something I can use immediately?

Yes. Every first session includes at least one regulation tool, matched to your actual state, that you practice live before you leave.

Is this the same as therapy?

No. Nervous system coaching is a distinct, non-clinical practice. It’s body-first and focused on building your capacity to regulate, not on diagnosis or insight alone. Many clients do both at the same time.

How do I book?

Book directly by filling out this form, and we’ll go from there.
